I visited turkey few years ago, strays animals were well fed, safe and content, all turkish people i met were kind and generous . This country is 1 one of my favourite place now because of the dogs and history . I wish to go back there after the pandemic ..

I live in istanbul and every time I walk home when I'm drunk, the dogs accompany. I talk to them about all my problems :D

Istanbul is a heavenly place for cats and dogs. Everybody is kind to them, leaves food and water for all strays, provides makeshift shelter to protect against the cold nights, rain, hot weather. We can clearly see the Turks are so comfortable with dogs and cats around them.

I've been to Turkey last year and I was surprised how a lot of dogs do happily lives in the streets without being chased by people . Some of them were also walking in the streets like normal people.

터키 처음 갔을 때 가장 놀랐던게 저거였음 개들이랑 고양이들이 저렇게 대놓고 있어도 아무도 신경을 안 쓴다는 거... 신경을 안 쓴다는게 나쁜 의미가 아니라 개랑 고양이가 길바닥에 널브려져서 자거나 바로 옆으로 뛰어다녀도 그냥 사람이 지나가는 것처럼 당연하게 생각하는 느낌?? 그렇다고 그 개랑 고양이들이 우리나라 유기견 유기묘처럼 상태가 안 좋거나 삐쩍 마른 것도 아니고 다들 밥도 잘 먹고 잠도 잘 자는지 표정도 맑고 해피해피함.. 관광지 같은 곳 가도 그냥 관광지 내부에서도 개들이 사람 따라다니면서 돌아다니고 유적지 유적위에서 고양이들 자고 있고ㅋㅋㅋ개 고양이들도 사람들이 자기들한테 피해 안 끼치는 걸 아는지 친화족이었음... 저렇게 관리가 되는게 싱기했음
