Who are some of the players who made you fall in love with bass? 👇🏻

Noone is as “clean” as you. At a such young age I think you are on your way to be one of the greatest of all time.

What’s really mind blowing about Victor to me is his ability to use his virtuosity without sounding indulgent or show-offy. His playing is always emotional and musical even when using weird crazy advanced techniques.

Met Wooten once, setting a piano up for Jazz Fest while his band was unloading into the same venue. Brief conversation. One of the nicest pro musicians I ever met, based on that, genuinely a warm and engaging human being.

Charles is so clean it's actually disgusting.

I used to think that the lesson was in the music, the technique, the speed, the flawless performance.
But no.
The lesson was in the dedication. The time and effort. And the countless hours.
That's the real lesson.

Victor has easily earn his spot as one of the greats in Bass. This truly does justice to his name, as well as a great solo piece!

Considering Victor’s work with kids’ camps and as an ambassador for the instrument, I can’t help but imagine that he is happy to see the capability of the bass pushed, possibly even further, by someone citing him as an inspiration.

I think it’s neat to see someone like Victor push the human potential further, and then see others build on that foundation.

I mean the following with utmost respect: you are a talented musician having the benefit of standing on the shoulders of this giant. Your accomplishments are your own, and your brilliance is undeniable—but it’s impossible to overstate how amazing Victor’s accomplishments are, and the debt that next-gen virtuosos owe him. I’m glad to see you pay homage, even though you seem to either already be, or are likely to become, superior to him in skill.

it’s amazing how you managed to build up this channel with wise stewardship over the momentary fame Davie lent to you. and you succeeded in building up your own fanbase, maintaining your original profile where you truly popularize high quality, high-end music. so just thank you!

I had to sell my bass a few years back cause money way tight. But watching your videos has inspired me to buy a new bass and start playing again. You're amazing!!

I've just re-listened to Wooten's live performance of this and love the fact you referenced his squeaky noise in that - amazing stuff.

I'm a guitar guy myself, but man, in my 51 years, I don't think I've seen someone as incredible on bass as you. Davie is amazing, but you're world-class, dude. And young still, geez. Where do you go from here? lol

Damn. . .😯
