Jane Birkin stopped using her bag because it wasnt remotely convenient.She clearly stated this herself.She said it was IMPRACTICAL because it was too heavy. The "woman its named after" and the woman who "carries" one, was Jane Birkin, ( past tense, now deceased) and a 60s fashion icon. Not remotely pretentious. unlike some of these "fashion" influencers.Who clearly don't understand any bag can "carry your stuff around." Jane Birkin would never have spouted this nonsense.
