Metformin: 3 Important Considerations to Look Out For

Metformin is a medication used to reduce or lower blood glucose levels, which is useful for treating type 2 diabetes and also helping resolve symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome. Metformin reduces blood glucose levels via at least 3 mechanisms, including reducing gluconeogenesis in the liver, reducing absorption of glucose from the gastrointestinal tract, and also increasing activation of the insulin receptor (increases insulin sensitivity). In this lesson, we discuss 3 important considerations to make when taking metformin, including who should not take it, what not to do when taking metformin and also nutritional deficiencies that can occur in metformin users.

I started taking metformin a while back, didn't really have any noticeable side effects apart from the first few days of visiting the bathroom more often than usual. Anyway.., i stopped taking metformin 2 months ago and instead I went ALL IN to try and reverse my T2D.
I promise you it's actually working slowly but surely, zero sugar, very low carb intake, lemon water twice a day, 3 liters of water a day, high fiber & protein food, 45min walk a day and a lot of home exercise. My blood sugar level used to average 20mmol, now I'm averaging 12mmol..✊.
I know I still have a long way to go and consistency is the key.., but to have such a significant drop after 8 weeks of pure determination is very encouraging. Believe me.., you can reverse Type 2 Diabetes.., I'll get back to this comment section in 8 weeks from now with an update.🙌

Good information that ALL should know. A little too late for me, but something the doctors should be following up on (but they don't).

I think I will pass on this. Both of my doctors keep telling me I need this, but I am taking a non FDA approved Burberine herb.
