In this video, we will compare TP-Link WDR-4300ND dual band antennas and WR-1043ND 2.4 GHz
Then try 2.4 GHz 5 GHz 9dBi RP-SMA antenna wifi dual band for TP-Link TL-WDR4300
I put my router next room not so far away and got quite poor signal. You can see why in next part of the video
Now we will test it with 9 dBi antenna
In theory, 3dBi will double signal strength at receiver point
After restarting, I got better performance this time with channel 11
Now let's take a look in side those antennas
I got TP-Link TL-WR1043ND which is 2.4 GHz
And it has grey antenna
And this is TP-LINK TL-WDR4300ND which is 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual band WiFi router
Its antennas are black
2 types of antenna look the same
In side the 2.4 GHz antenna is typical Dipole Omnidirectional Antenna
The dual band antenna look strange to me, and it is only half length of its cover
So I think TP-Link should cut half of the antenna to save space
Now we will see my high gain 2.4 ghz 5ghz 9dBi RP-SMA antenna wifi dual band for TP-Link TL-WDR4300
the high gain is double the 2.4 GHz's length so it is 4 times the original dual band from TP-Link
The high gain has 3 twisted copper and 3 ferrite elements the short twisted element is for 5GHz
Now we will see 3 types of antenna side by side
