I distinctly recall when the weather maps did not show red until temperatures exceeded 110 degrees fahrenheit. I also remember the maps showing green up to 85 degrees and yellow from 86 to 99, orange from 100 to 110.

If my memory is correct I believe the hottest day was in July of 7, 895, 000 BC. Lot of volcanoes back then.

No, that title is misleading, it is the hottest temperature ever modelled with the current model, and models are not a global thermometer. And we all know models are not reality.
