He’s right. An anonymous “smell this” is only a slightly more mature version of “pull my finger”, & anyone who grew up with a brother knows to run like your life depends on it when you hear that phrase. 😂

When you want to carefully sample the odor of an unknown substance, instead of putting it right under your nose, hold it some distance away from your face and use your hand to wave some breeze across the top of it toward your nose. You do it cautiously this way in case it turns out to be strong stuff. They teach you this in school chemistry lab.

They probably used Skatole otherwise known as 3-methylindole in the ingredients. It is the compound responsible for making things like shit and rotting flesh smell. Another fun fact about skatole is that it is sometimes used as an ingredient in foods like ice cream and items like perfume because in low concentrations it doesn’t have the same smell. I believe in very high concentrations it also loses its smell.
