That drum beat reminded me of Even Flow by Pearl Jam too, but I may be wrong

Peak Slipknot right there. It's refreshing to see an industry vet appreciate newer music.

I loved that after they had success after Wait and Bleed they continued to hone their craft and work on their playing skills. Most bands stall in the their music skill after hitting it big.

Production wise this will always be my favorite Slipknot album. Super clear but still very natural and raw sounding at the same time and the guitar tone is one of the best of all metal records

🥲🫶🏾 I’ve been a Slipknot fan since the 90’s and I’m still hear. 👀 I do tend to listen to the first two albums more often than not (🤯 Iowa blew my mind) but I do still like most of what they’re putting out. I cried like a baby over Joey.

Beat reminds me of Pearl Jam’s “Go” off Vs. album as well.

Lamb of God's discography is a whole arsenal of killer Drop D riffs.

If heavy music isn't technically done so well, its just heavy on the ears. Love that Rick is pulling in on the heavy hitters more and more. Metal is not dead!! Now get Kerry King on the Chanel already!

Everything just harmonizes beautifully together like cinnamon on buttered toast but with extra cinnamon for that spicy kick 😉

Absolutely gorgeous guitar, Rick! When Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses dropped back when I was 15 in 2004, and I got to this song? Ha, let’s just say no other song was listened to for a good hour or so at least. Still my favorite Slipknot track to this day, with Killpop and Left Behind right behind.

Man I freaking love Rick’s break downs.

Exactly how i feel about Pantera, mainly their live shows, they were so so very tight in the measure, like if that measure was a actual box they easily were filling the corners, just like slipknot, both their tones were so big but still cut so deep it becomes just one solid noise of tone that stays like a freight train on the tracks

Rick…..ur my hero.
Without the instruments always being present, Ive been analyzing and breaking down songs to anyone who will listen to me for 25 years!!
Let’s do lunch lol
