I'm super excited for the full fanatic set. I love AP Speed Paints over zenith/dry brushed primer (slap chop) but always add edge highlights to make the paint scheme pop. These will be perfect for that - one coat coverage FTW!

was all set to get the complete set. then really thought about it. Ordered the mega set, the speed paint most wanted set, and the air paint starter set instead of the giant fanatics set. All that leaves a ton of money in the budget for more models.

I'm not doubting the quality of the paints. Nor am I disputing that by buying this big set you are getting a big discount. My issue is that while you may make a saving of say 15% compared to buying each paint individually, do you need all those paints? What happens if there are 25% of the paints you will never use? And on top of that, you still have to go out and buy a few paints you really do need, but they are not in the jumbo box you bought?

Id say if you are painting armies, then it's best to buy lots of colours, as if you have to mix colours all the time, then your armies won't look uniform. Having minimal paints and mixing your colours is fine for individual models though.
