No matter what you think of the production, it's SO refreshing to hear a band writing actual songs - honest-to-goodness, fully realized, beginning-middle-ending, melody-and-chords SONGS. This is a really well-written song! And for those of you who keep wanting to hear stuff that sounds like it came right out of sessions for the first album... MUSIC AND SONGWRITING AND THE EVOLUTION OF BANDS DON'T WORK THAT WAY. You're never going to get the exact same sensation you had when you were 13 hearing a DD song for the first time. Music and memory and emotions don't work that way. Open your mind and give it a chance.

I just don't understand how anyone doesn't listen to this song closer. You will fall in love with it. And yes I totally agree, Duran Duran is the best Band in the world, #1. Xx

The keys sound like rain turning to a storm on the pavement. Then the chorus comes in and it sounds like slow motion light waves. I love how this one pulls the music tight and then releases it with trailing space. The lyrics are something we all experience and they are powerful. Love this one a lot.

This song gives me Chills! The Massive, Fierce Synths by Nick, The Thumping Sliding Has of the Magical fingers of JNT, the Right On Time drums of the Smooth RT, Dom is Shreading that Lead, and of course the Vocals of Simon with the other Beautiful voices is Magnificant! Love This!

I like this, it's a rock ballad with atmospheric distorted synthesizer in the style of grunge. It's good to see classic bands still creating new output after all these years.

This is by far the best track Duran have released from Paper Gods thus far. The lyrics for "You Kill Me With Silence" are much better than the abysmal ones for "Pressure Off." The band has finally peaked my curiosity with this track. Here's hoping there's more of this on Paper Gods.

Wow, this album is really moody just what I need during all this rain weve been getting, perfect for a night time drive, , I just started listening. I think so many are expecting "hungry like the wolf" again, they are staying current with todays sound and looks even. Been following you guys since 1981, keep going gents.

horses for courses...opinions we all have them. Songs are there to be liked...disliked or indifference. Either way embrace these new songs if you like them or just remain silent if you don't. I for one can't be bothered with critique for critique sake and am just happy these four lads who helped form my appreciation of music as an awkward teenager in the early 80's are still here...making music...experimenting...and have never been dull or stuck in their ways. Viva Duran Duran.
