Duran Duran OWNED The 80s! And they were brilliant, too. Here's why: I was a radio DJ for over 30 years (small, medium, and major markets), and most radio stations had separation rules where the station did not play songs by the same artist twice in a 60 minute time frame. So in order to get more airplay, the group formed 3 different groups (most of the same band members): Duran Duran, The Power Station, and Arcadia. That way, they could have more than 1 hit song on the charts at the same time and listeners did not get burned out on them...

Damn Duran Duran, is just one of those authentic bands that are totally incapable of making a bad song! They STILL slay live performances which just goes to show they were some of he TRULY gifted musicians of the 80's and not recycled garbage that eventually fades away and is easily forgotten
