Why does a technical university have "Black studies"?
Only way it would make sense would be, if it was a course about a physics of black holes.

Is this course teaching to look at the world through the lens of post-modernism?

Noooo, this isn't math or science. If only there were links I could click, so I could watch what I'm looking for. The horror!

Your foot is a tool, is it a part of who you are? Your consciousness is a tool, your ability to make decisions is a tool, your religious faith is a tool, everything is a tool when looked at from the right perspective. Hell, even looking at things from different perspectives is a tool. Are none of these things part of who "we are?" I assume when you say "who we are" it is meant "who you are." I mean, it is useful to consider people as parts of a larger organism and say "we are, " but it's pretty easy to stop caring about actual human beings when you do that.

So many of you have judged without even watching the video series. Chomsky is the one guy on the left even people on the right respect because he knows his stuff. Thank you for uploading this and I hope you upload more stuff from Chomsky and other philosophical material in the future.

Lol why are there so many angry people in the comments?? There's nothing wrong with more learning and all you gotta do is not watch. Though clearly it would be helpful if more did...

Thanks for sharing so many courses; this truly is an amazing era of knowledge sharing.

Chomsky is one of those, who fooled me. so away from people, I'm sorry. no matter how you try to put it in sophisticated words. you know, one of those, who when the sink breaks, will refuse to put his hands in dirt no MATTER WHAT.

Social Justice asking for "Equality"

and then procced to make a class About "Black Matters"

why is not called "People Matters" and then endorse True Social Justice?

in these times there is no one who is segregated anymore by others, instead there are those who segregate themselves

now in the Working force, Employers chose those who are the best qualified, not because their skin color or sex, that would be so racist... oh Social Justice wants that...

im the only one who sees everything that is happening is so stupid in so many levels?

It's just videos of a college class, chill lol. Won't change your life in any way. You're not being forced to study it, nor are you being forced to study anything else like Gender or Feminism.

Noam Chomsky is my hero!! I studied a bit of linguistic anthropology and his theories on acquisition of language are spot on.

A safe space for exploring various identity defining factors is fine. My lack of personal interest doesn't make it bad content even given my bias against anecdotally oriented, poorly supported academic focii. If you can't make properly repeatable studies about something then you can't claim to know anything about it.
