I used to wonder why you could hear the studio audience laughing after Del Boy says “He walked out on his own father”. It is because the episode was edited after Lennard Pearce died the following year.

Just watched A Losing Streak and only now noticed a dub where the dub has Del saying "what's the odds of you picking the only 'genuine' weight watcher in London??"

The word 'genuine' was originally 'poof' by a bit of lip-reading.

Wish they'd stop messing about with stuff.

Isn’t this on the iTunes version of the episode these days?. This was uploaded previously from a Betamax tape of the original broadcast (all repeats and home editions apart from iTunes maybe made the edit), before it got taken down. Is this the same upload?.

I can completely understand why this was cut now. I can see why John Sullivan initially put this In the script because it does fit his style of writing and it fits with the plot. However, it doesn't work! Knowing that Lennard died in real life shorty after this was broadcast hits too close to home for viewers and people would have watched this years afterwards and felt too uncomfortable to laugh.
