4Runner was marketed for the first time in the US as toyota trekker back in 1984.

In 1985 the name officially changed to 4Runner.

2025 would be 40 years anniversary of the 4Runner

Toyota USA should make limited edition solid axle with removable top for the anniversary just like its ancestor

Another interesting point. The Lexus GX550 Overtrail is listed at 69, 200 on Lexus website. If the very top trim in the 4Runner isn’t at least 10k cheaper than that, why on earth would anyone buy the 4Runner of the GX550?
