The Sontarans lift the Lupari defence wall just as the Flux event passes, leaving the Dalek and Cyber fleets vulnerable to consumption by the anti-matter wave.

Despite being seemingly annihilated by the Flux in this scene, evidently some Daleks survived, as they appear again in the very next episode, Eve of the Daleks.

Sontarans were really at their best in this season

Honestly I can sort of see a stunt like being used during the Time War. Remember, while the Time Lords and Daleks where major powers, but there are civilizations across the universe, time and space being used to fight proxy wars.

I cant believe that the writers genuinely thought to have the doctor essentially commit genocide on three seperate species and they thought we’d be okay with it. She saw the problem of the sontarans trying to wipe out the cybermen and daleks and decided the problem in that statement was that the sontarans didn’t also die. She could have easilly saved all 3 of those species by keeping the shield up but instead she made the choice to just kill them all.

This part of the episode really confuses me for multiple reasons:
1. Why would the Daleks of all people agree to an alliance? They never do that. The only time they did that was to trap the doctor in the pandorica.
2. Why would the Daleks need lupari shields? They're the Daleks. Blowing up/stealing planets, suns, solar systems and fuckin galaxies is easy. But stopping the flux is somehow too much? These guys had tech equal or better that the time lords. And yes, I know the time war destroyed them at their hight, but it still seems weird that they were scared of the flux.

This scene really annoyed me. The idea that the Sontarans of all beings the honour bound warrior race, would launch a sneak attack under a flag of truce no less is nonsense 'Where's the fight in that? where's the honour?' - tenth doctor

Sontarans were genious and also dork sometimes, exemple - the CHOCOLATE thing. This serie 13 was awsome.
