Today, I'm showing you a super accessible way to make your own drypoint etching plate—using tetrapaks. Yes, you can upcycle your used juice or milk cartons to create beautiful prints.

Plus I'll show you how to print them at home (there's likely a whole other video to be had for that, so keep your eyes peeled!)

I haven't tried this but it's a great idea and your demonstration is nice and clear. I'll keep my next set of cartons for this! I'll forward this to the art teachers at the school where I work too. Thank you.

I took out my old pasta machine: great for pressing and can use thicker watercolor papers too. Your videos are great and your work is beautiful! Thank you

this is so cool! i just fished a tetra pack (tomato soup) and a milk carton out of the trash, and flattened them out. i will definitely be trying this process! love all your prints, as i always do. thanks so much for an idea we can do at home, without a printing press. very exciting!

I’m trying not to buy any art supplies for a bit but every time i see your videos i’m so drawn to the way the prints look, they have so much character! I’m guessing the specialist inks would be relatively pricey, is it worth trying this with some cheap oil paint or would i be wasting my time and making a horrible mess do you think?! I’m also working in a domestic space (and i’m clumsy!)…

Beautiful prints, Ruth! I have a stack of washed and ready Tetrapaks for whenever inspiration strikes. It's one of my favourite ways to make printing plates.

Hello, is it at all possible to use acrylic paints instead of ink? Thank you for your channel.❤
