Laimer was quite clearly the man of the match for me

i was a BIG fan of how Laimer was fighting for every ball in the midfield. Kind of reminded me how Kante was running up and down the field for the ball.

Title suggesting that it is Tuchel's Bayern who got lucky in this game, while all the facts showing that Real should be very happy they didn't loose that game.

Tuchel's tactics in this one were incredibly impressive. Bayern's chances of advancing in the second leg will largely depend on their health. They showed that they have the heart & talent to make it through, if their top defender & attackers get/stay healthy I think they'll have a good shot at the UCL title.

Critics often accuse Carlo Ancelotti of lacking clear strategies against top opponents on big Champions League nights. However, if we apply the 48th Law of Power, "Assume Formlessness", we can view Ancelotti's approach in a different light.

Ancelotti's strategy could be seen as a form of "formlessness". Rather than adhering to a rigid, predictable game plan, Ancelotti may be choosing to remain flexible and adaptable, adjusting his tactics based on the specific circumstances of each match. This approach can be advantageous as it makes Real Madrid difficult for opponents to analyze and counter.

Just like water, which assumes the shape of its container, Ancelotti's team adapts to the challenges posed by different opponents. This fluidity and unpredictability can be a strength, not a weakness. It allows Real Madrid to respond to the unique dynamics of each game, making them a formidable opponent on any given night.

In the high-stakes environment of the Champions League, where games are often decided by the smallest of margins, the ability to adapt and change can be the difference between victory and defeat. Ancelotti's "formless" approach keeps opponents guessing and allows Real Madrid to seize opportunities as they arise.

So, while critics may perceive a lack of clear strategy, Ancelotti might be employing a sophisticated approach inspired by the principle of formlessness. This approach requires a deep understanding of the game and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.

Tuchel won the coaching battle.
The difference was the defender that replaced de Light. Compared to de Light is Kim these typ of defender who like to defend agressively and "foward".

Tuchel said after the game that he was too greed.

Apart from those 4 mistakes from both sides, Tuchel had the better game plan for the match.

I honestly cant fathom how twitter calls tuchel a football terrorist while ancelotti parks the bus for 4 straight cl games and inshallah.

Vazquez lacked support on the right side

Laimer had both incredible defensive obligations in covering Vinicius Jr. when he dropped and offensively in the second half he was their sole buildup link from midfield. Great stamina that makes me question his limits and will definitely warrant a rest day during the weekend in the league.

I also think Tuchel's match plan and 2nd half adaptation don't get the praise they deserve when you consider man city struggled to create high yield chances against this side.

for me, Ancelotti got to change whole gameplan in 2nd leg because Bayern almost win the first leg

People are underestimating and quickly forgot what happened last year at the semis. Madrid were demolished by City in the second leg and Ancelotti admitted that. Also, Real were struggling against Barcelona and were outsmarted tactically several times by Xavi. Real wanted to avoid this happening by any means during this season. Given the fact that Benzema left, changes were desperately needed.

Last year Real played with the conventional 4-3-3, which Ancelotti adopted during his first stay at Madrid. The very same construction was later used by Zidane. However, it became very predictable and Ancelotti knew during the summer that it is the right time for experimenting and selecting a new gameplan.

Not only Ancelotti changed his own tactics, but as @sparkle-stories rightfully indicated now Real is indeed "formlessness". Sometimes they play 4-3-1-2, sometimes 4-4-2, sometimes even with Camavinga as inverted back and asymmetrical formation, sometimes Modric plays to the position and the role in which Pirlo used to play and it is difficult to predict how Real will play, regardless the opponent. Do not forget that this year Real suffers from severe injuries of Militao, Alaba and Courtois! Against Atleti, they even played without a natural center back!

No other team would have managed to adapt so quickly and still be at this stage of the season in a top shape. Madrid put Barca at their place, kicked out City, won the Supercopa, needing only 4 points to take over La Liga again and now fighting for a third trophy! In fact, Real only lost this season against Atleti!

So hands off from Ancelotti, he is a Mastermind! Can't wait for the next season and the new arrivals. Real will be stronger!

Why is Tuchel’s tactics explanation 6minutes whereas Madrid’s is only 1 minute 😭😭😭😂😂😂😂 “Vibes Based”

If there's someone to beat Madrid at the Bernabeau it's Tuchel. He's unpredictable compared to a Pep and his tactical nous is up there with the very best. I think Madrid will play a bit freely at home and that's where Tuchel will show how good he is. Predicting Bayern to go through

Your analyses always consider Ancelotti as the 2nd best but he still wins most of the occasions. Is he too much of a genius to be analysed?😂

very good analysis. When you have seen this match, you cannot understand, that one of the two coaches got fired shortly before...

In an age were football is filled with system players, Jamal Musiala is shining like a bright diamond. What a player. Tuchel showed his tactical acumen in this match, he deserves more respect than he gets tbh

I liked Ancelotti's subs. Replacing Jude with Brahim was a big call, and also replacing Nacho with Camavinga to push Tchouameni back in defence, lead to Madrid restoring the control of the ball and equalizing.
