-----------------
I downgraded my Samsung Galaxy S20+ OS from Android 11 One UI 3 to Android 10 One UI 2.5. This is the reason why I did it: 👇
-----------------
On December 20, 2020, my Galaxy S20+ got an automatic update to Android 11 with One UI version 3. After the update, I tried to get my DJI Mavic Mini drone to fly. First I used the Litchi app, but after 5 minutes flight, the Litchi app suddenly crashed (without warning). But I could still control the drone with the controller (without a cell phone). I restarted the Litchi app while the drone was still flying. And then it connected again as normal, 5 minutes later the app crashed again. Thank God the drone didn't fly far yet, I could still see it and land it safely with the controller without a mobile phone.
After that I tried to make it fly with the DJI Fly app. And there were the same symptoms. The DJI Fly app crashed. I suspect that the USB cable from the mobile phone to the controller is the cause. I ordered a new USB cable and tried it out. The app still crashed. So the cable isn't the problem.
I was looking for another solution. I then installed the app on another cell phone. I used Samsung S7 with Android 9. It flew like a charm, no problem whatsoever.
So, my guess is that the new Android 11 One UI 3 version is the cause. I also did some research on the internet. Many people have problems with the new Android version. Not only does DJI Fly or Litchi App crash, but other apps too.
My suggestion: Deactivate your automatic Android system update. Do NOT install the new Android 11 One UI 3 version until the solution is found.
If you have had such an experience, have a different opinion or even a solution, please write in the comments. Thanks.
