Back in my day, we shook our frappes by hand. Fond memories sitting outside in Athens drinking these. 🥰

I just tried this drink and wow this is my new favorite drink. Its simular to dalgona but the coffee sugar water isn't blended to a thick whipped texture. Its not too sweet. This is my new favorite coffee drink rn. 10/10 would recommend. I don't care how the greeks originally makes it but if yo want a refreshing latte coffee drink this is perfect

I use to think I could handle strong coffee until I went to Greece. Also, the other comments are right, they don't add milk. When I asked the barista for some milk to mellow it down, she made a confused face. Then, gave me condensed milk. 😅 Bless that women for dealing with me. ❤️

Edit: Thank you all for making my comment a top comment. I wanna tell you why I commented on this. I am from India. It was the year 2021, India was in lockdown, so there was a trend on social media to make a handbitten coffee (named Dalgona coffee), and this video reminds me of that.

Usually you mix the powder and sugar with milk instead of water bc it foams better, then about half is milk and the other is cold water. I'd recommend two spoons of coffee tho, it has a much richer taste that way. Also instead of the gold one i recommend the red one, in a glas jar with s red plastic lid. The gold one tastes too burnt imo, the red one is a gentler sort of taste.

trust me my friend it's better without the ice because it melts and becomes water..it ruins the taste of the coffee. You should use a shaker and shake it all for about 5 seconds. In this way you will have an iced coffee but not diluted with water. We in Italy do it like this, sometimes we also add cocoa powder or even some Bayles (whiskey cream)..you should try it it's very good 😉
