It's not the animation that makes the ghibli anime good, it's the heart and soul put into it combined with the really great story writing and world building. Every ghibli anime can make you feel emotions even from a trailer like this without even watching the movies

This movie was so great, such an amazing aesthetic for the other world, never really went on a too long winded explanation for it's origin and you could figure it out on your own, and it still had mysteries.

If most isekai anime had even the tenth of the fantastic elements from Ghibli movies dealing with the concept of isekai like this, then that genre wouldn't have been mostly trash by now.

Every single Ghibli movie I have ever watched has been a masterpiece. Seriously, the concept of the meeting of different worlds and magic realism is perfected in these movies.
