I THINK IF THEY WORKING AND THEY NEED TO DOUBLE PARK YOU SHOULDN'T GET A TICKET BUT IF YOU JUST DOUBLED PARKED TAKING UP SPACE YOU SHOULD GET A TICKET PUT UP SIGNS OR LEAVE A NOTE ON THE WINDOW OR DOOR

Indeed, what the city needs is more loading zones. The council really needs to use their head. Because delivery vehicles must have a place to pull over to load and/or unload whereas general parallel parking isn’t even a priority because there’s the option of walking and/or taking public transport. Plus, having less parking spaces can encourage people to not go by car and that would mean less traffic in the city. This is why loading zones are MUCH more important than parking zones.

STOP BLAMING THE TRUCKERS!!!!
These trucks don’t chose to double park and take a ticket....the problem is that these truck’s designated parking spots are taken away by cars with bogus permits.

Make midtown a no permit zone (except for handicap) and watch spaces open for commercial truck to park legally.

In the congested 34 and 7 Avenue area there are 3 million nypd traffic patrol cars in leagal TRUCK parking spots.

In the congested Times Square there are hundreds of food trucks that never move from 7 AM to 5PM. (90% of them don’t pay the meter...why? LoL! Someone getting free lunches)
