I remember when these came out and motorweek explaining how the V10 was just a 5.9 magnum with 2 extra cylinders. Even by 1992 standards this a considered a primitive engine based on technology from '60s. But the car was marketed as a back to basics hot rod rather than a high tech exotic.

I'm 32 and since i was Like 8, she was one of my dream, i saw her on the road just few days ago, passing by my road, outside my front door ( in italy are pretty rare, and i've seen her just 3 time in my life as far as i can remeber) she was the first gts gen. Her body was gray, her wheels black, and she sounded amazing. I was astonished, and i can confirm, she aged so well That i'm still in love after more than 20 years. She Is still in my dreams.

I had a chance to ride shot gun with a professional driver when the srt10 Viper debuted. 500hp and 500lbs ft if I remember correctly. I still remember the G forces I felt when he took off. What a fantastic beast of a car. Thanks for the video!

Nice video. I am lucky to have a Gen 1 and 2 Viper. They all feel like 600 HP and the all look like 1000. Does not matter how fast you are going.... you are smiling all the way.

I've ridden in two Vipers, and have driven one. I'm a Corvette owner, but the Viper's massive torque is overwhelming. Very impressive machines; so iconic.
