Until the world governments shut down the world over Covid global poverty has been decreasing for 20 years. One of the best things that have helped is that very poor countries have reduced their birthrate as lifespans increased. One of the poorest and overcrowded countries in the world was Bangladesh and they drastically reduced their population growth which helped them address social, economic and environmental problems in their country and they are making great progress.
Nearly every western country has a declining population, even China will decline starting this year. The biggest failure has been Africa which even though there have been huge advances in increasing lifespan Sub Saharan African countries generally often show little or no decline in their extreme birthrate and are going to be engulfed with hungry people and will be pushing many of their citizens to immigrate to other countries causing more problems. Surely, the shadow of future hunger coming to Africa is not entirely a lack of money, but of leadership of the people in those countries and an unwillingness for others to speak about it.

we have both a global hunger and a global income equality issue You cant fix this stuff with a pen stroke or a few government policies Its done through having a long term plan and continuing a process
