YOU CAN because it’s not English is another language. If people are ignorant that’s their problem.

Gosh same for Korean, “you” is pronounced “nee-gah”. 😂 I hate that I have to be extra careful when in public, when the only thing I’m doing is just speaking my language

As a grad student I worked with a couple of Chinese students, and when they spoke Chinese to each other they used “neiga” frequently. It made me do a double-take the first time I heard it, but I did soon learn it was a filler word in their language, similar to how some people use “like, ” and I quickly got over it.

What are the odds you'll even use "flower bridge" in a conversation.

'Meet me on the flower bridge & bring your corn kernels' 😂

I don't see why you cannot say them. People will just have to cope.

"Nei Ge" is also in Mandarin (which is what my wife speaks). When we moved back to the US (Atlanta), I had to keep telling my wife to say that word VERY QUIETLY so that I didn't get beat up.

If i spoke Cantonese, no one in this world would censor my vocabulary. If anyone thought that neiga sounded like the n-word, they could cry me a river, and I'd still use it 😊
