BAD WORDS
As Milo and Judith are leaving school, they overhear a trucker yelling at a motorist. Milo tells Judith that his mother has forbidden him from saying bad words. Judith scoffs at that, saying that she can use any bad word that she chooses – away from her parents’ ears. Milo has a close encounter with Judith’s foul mouth when, during a bike race, she calls Milo a dummy. Milo finds it hard not to be insulted. He later hears his own mother use some colourful language of her own when she lets out a foul word after dropping a jug of milk on the floor of the kitchen in front of Judith. Vanessa has a difficult time justifying her actions to the children, but the moment is ripe to understand the difference between using bad words when you’re alone and doing it in front of others. Vanessa, Judith and Milo promise to keep an eye on their mouths from now on.
