When you have infected wisdom teeth you will have painful lumps around the area of neck just behind the wisdom teeth these are called lymph nodes, they naturally present in every body and whenever does an infection the milk plants swell up there by causing difficulty in swallowing pain and so on and so forth. So please visit the dentist and make sure that you are medicated or the tooth is properly be treated with any surgical procedure on extraction of that tooth and get to the particular discomfort or pain. If one ignores the infected wisdom teeth and just does not do anything about it there is a larger risk that inspection may grow and may go to an extent where the entire bone gets infected, jaw gets infected and causes a condition called as cyst then the intervention becomes even difficult and then certain will have to access the need for surgical removal and probably exclamation of the cyst within out damage adjacent structures may be adjacent teeth. So it is very important that infected wisdom teeth need to be evaluated on a regular basis and make sure that you don't land up with larger problem.

Yeah I'm having similar issues with my wisdom tooth. The pain in my wisdom tooth has subsided, but now the bottom right side of my jaw is sore. It's hard to swallow.

The pain is 8/10. My lympnodes and neck are swollen right now. It's hard to open my mouth, hard to talk, hard to swallow, and I have headache. I'm taking antibiotic 3 days now. But the swollen and pain gets worst each day.

Went to get my wisdom teeth checked as swollen lymph nodes more on one side and that side is more sore and aching results was it is pressing on a nerve was given amoxicillin and to wait for a call back to see what they do and now have developed a sore throat ughhh just want to get it taken out already

I had a tooth decay like for awhile before i decided to go to the dentist and extracted my dead tooth. Before i came to the dentist i notice a swollen lymph nodes in the right part of my neck. Then right now (1 week after my 2nd batch of my tooth extraction) i noticed that the swollen lymph nodes got bigger a bit and i am also experiencing a mild jaw pain . This makes me anxious.

So I've had an issue with the gum behind my back row of teeth swelling and my lymph node in the throat also swelling at the same or similar time-frames. It has been going on for maybe 10+ years? However, there is never any sign of a wisdom tooth pushing out. Should I consider extraction?
