I remember my first plane I flew was the H-Ray...OS Max schnurle 25 gas engine. Then I graduated to the "Big H" ...same engine but this one trained me to fly with ailerons. That was 50 years ago and I would love to start flying again with this one.

I'm am old guy, 82, who has flown RC off and on since 1970. These days, I fly with a bunch of other seniors early mornings out here in the desert west of Phoenix. I absolutely love the Slow Ultra Stick ! It leaps into the air and is very aerobatic. Like you, I like Cuban Eights...lol. But, I agree. This airplane could easily be a trainer. Also, the new upgraded carbon fiber landing gear struts replaced the brittle plastic ones that snapped a bit too easily. This is one of the very the best RC models I have ever flown.

A wonderful addition to the Hanger. I have over 30 flights on it and love it more and more every time I fly it. I did break the wings off flying this Slow Stick in Realflight, but the real thing holds up well. No complaints at all and a ton of fun in high wind. A real winner

I absolutely LOVE this airplane. I preordered one back in February and I love it so much I have another one in the box as a backup/parts airplane. On a 3S 2200 I’m getting 15+ minutes of flight time.

Looks like a tuned up GWS slow stick. I've had several of the GWS versions and bashed many as well. Vertical and fun. Have the eflight now. It's everything I tried to do with the GWS. Cheap fun.

I have one... crashed the HELL out of this thing and it still flys! Landing gear is a bit flimsy, but it is a really great plane for a first plane. Hats off to Horizon.

This is a great plane! I own it and fly with both the 1300mAh and 2200mAh 3S Smart batteries and has a large flight envelope. I could also be a pretty good trainer in my opinion.

With dual rates it could be a nice slowflyer AND a fast aerobatic plane at the same time. Hit low rates and it's a nice beginner plane, hit high rates and it comes alive.

I love the beechcraft by horizon. But it's a little pricey for my pocketbook. This airplane seems like it would be a lot of fun to fly.

Hi Nate!
Last year at Horizon RC Fest - you helped my son and I pick out our first airplane - and we have really enjoyed it.
Looking to upgrade controllers and expand our air-fleet.
You had recommended a specific Spektrum controller to me at the time...but it was a year ago and my memory is bad.

As I now look at the Spektrum range of controllers - it is super confusing. iX, NX, DX...plus all of the different channel options. Do you have a video with a decoder ring, a "Spektrum air radios explained"? Would love to hear your thoughts / recommendation.
