I appreciate that you can clearly see the real skin, texture, pores in this video. I would consider Michelle to have one of the most flawless skins so to see that as good as your skin can be you are still human and you'll obviously have a little bit of texture or discoloration is making me feel much more better! My point is it's more achievable than what i thought "perfect skin" is. I was always upset that I'll never ever achieve perfect skin because i was unlucky with genetics (even after a greatly built skincare regimen). But i can say that my skin has been getting better and better every year after changes in my diet and having a working consistent skincare. There is hope my sisters!

Honestly I’m a dude and I’ve always loved Michelle’s videos exactly because of her soothing voice, been a watcher from the rice bunny/xanga days just to have a soothing voice in the background. Learned a lot about makeup though lol

I didn't believe in SKII thinking it was just some overpriced overmarketed product but my mom started using it and it WORKS -- like Michelle said it's much easier to see the results when you get older

Just want to remind everyone that fermented skincare is not something for every skintype. I really wanted to love Skii, but it broke me out really, really bad, and it took me almost a year to recover from it :( though I know many friends who swear by this product :)

so my point is, do always rmb to patch test and observe carefully when you first start to incorporate a new skincare! :)

I didn’t even know that SK-II was released in the 80’s. The fact that it’s still an industry standard to this day speaks volumes. Specially in a time when the skincare market resembles fast fashion with new gimmicks constantly popping up and phasing out. They were wise to collab with you on this, the OG beauty guru x the OG essence. I will definitely give Pitera essence a try when I can afford it someday.

I also used SKII Pitera back when I was in my 20s at that time it didn't really do anything to my skin, I guess it was just like you I had really good skin back then. Now I'm close to 50 and I started using SKII again and I can tell you that it really does work, well at least for me. My skin feels firmer and brighter.

You really start seeing the “claims” of skincare in your 30s, which I’m in. I use this product. I swear by it. I notice a difference when I stop. It just makes your face brighter and less dull looking. I put it in a little spray bottle. Spray on my face and press in. I don’t want to waste ANY of it on my hands. This product is absolutely worth the price, and the dupes just don’t compare.

I LOVE this video! I DO use this product! I'm in my early 50's. It seemed like I was wasting a lot of product in my hands and using cotton so I pumped it into a spray travel bottle! I give it a couple of sprays and then tap into my skin. I LOVE this product! Thanks for this video! ❤️

I started using this in my 30’s. It was the 30ml small bottle that was given for me to try. Since then, I just can’t live without SK-II essence.

I’m in my 30s and have always been curious about the skII essence because it was so popular a long time ago but back then I was not able to justify the price and wasn’t sure if it was overhyped product. In the last few years I have been using Fresh’s black tea kombucha essence as part of my skincare and do enjoy it. Seeing you document your journey of the skII has given me more confidence to try it as my next product once I finish the Fresh one. So I found out my skin doesn’t do well with fermented skincare. Bought sk-ii and broke out. I found Sulwhasoo and it’s soooo good on my skin. I’m in my 40 and I can see the difference only after few times of using it. It took me 30 years to find a skincare line that’s perfect for me.

You used to inspire me so much to play with Make-up - loved every minute of your tutorials ! And I totally agree on your statement that skincare is a somewhat selflove and that we should take the time to do it and treat ourselves right.
Sadly never used the skII essence because I think it is a little bit too expensive for me. I know there is a lot of hype on it and it’s probably worth it. I also am quite lucky with my skin. It’s just a bit sensitive but otherwise I don’t have any problems with it. I usually use aloe Vera on my skin - the brand I use is called Santa verde and they grow their own aloe Vers plants and their skincare line is really good ( I mostly use their eyecreme, beauty rich elixir, hydro repair gel and sensitive toner on a daily basis) - I also tried tata Harper (just testers of their eyecreme and blemish spot remover ) and I really liked the results too. And I also fall in love recently with the Lilah b aglow face mist - it’s so easy to apply and leaves my skin super soft. I usually barely wear makeup nowadays (never wore face makeup (only eyemakeup and blush - nowadays I only use blush and highlighter( sometimes eyeliner) and I started setting my skin with the hourglass veil soft focus setting spray- I know it’s probably not skin care but I must say it leaves my skin super dewy and soft and my skin reacts pretty good to it throughout the day.
I barely use face masks because I never found a face mask where I didn’t get a rash from - idk mostly tried out some from korean brands - but didn’t really get along with them although their skincare also has pretty good reviews ! I recently also heard about this korean brand called dear klairs - what do you think about them ? Have you tried any of their products ?

I have been using Missha products now for over 10 years. I just recently did a few laser treatments for my face to get rid of sun spots. The woman treating me said my skin looked pretty good for my age. (40) I use the Time Revolution First Essence, Snail Cream, and nightly sheet masks. Now since I am 40, I know I need to be more aggressive using sun screen. I am terrible about not using it. 😩 Skin care is one of the things that I like to do for myself. I don't wear makeup, so I try to keep my skin looking as good as possible. 🙂 Missha products are affordable, cover different skin care needs, and have a light fragrance. I have used many of their products from the different lines and I have to say the Snail Cream is the best! 🐌
