Xperia 1 VI Catches Pixel 9! Android 15 IS HERE!

Android 15 is starting to roll out to the Sony Xperia 1 VI right now, and is available for OTA update! This is a very quick update to Android 15, right behind Google Pixel 9 phones and is a major turnaround on Sony's update strategy. This update also has the November 2024 Security patch and maybe a big camera update!

I received the update 3 days ago. (FYI I am in Greece but I have set up my location to Japan so that could be a factor to take into consideration).
What I have noticed so far is that the Pro video is included in the update and also some improvements on the game launcher app. Apart from that the aod is a bit different and that's pretty much it.
The bummer about Sony is that they do not have release notes so in every update you have to guess what's being updated

Just got this phone 3 days ago. I love it!
I just wish someone would have said that all apps are google apps. Photos, messages ect. I am a privacy advocate. It's a ton of work to find alternatives that this phone will work well with.
But it's an awesome phone, I just don't want google everywhere

I just noticed tht the dark mode in Sony Xperia 1 Vi is no longer pure black with Android 15 😢 i have contacted Sony Support to make them change it to black.

Hey man, I'd really like to get the Xperia 1 VI to replace my still very good LG G8 do you still recommend it? I had the Xperia 1 III very briefly I wasn't impressed so I sold it. I'm still holding on to my LG.

Now I'm thinking should I wait for the OnePlus 13 when it comes out or get this Xperia 1 VI? Thanks
