Definitely looks more like a bonsai after removing that foliage and wiring. 👌

Hi there, I’d really appreciate your advice. If I had to choose just one task this spring — pruning or repotting — which would be more important? I’m planning to work on my tree in the coming days, and I’ve noticed the roots are quite heavily circled. Thanks so much!

Very nice. The directional branch needs movement in it to compliment the curvy trunkline. :)

Did the bottom branch survive? I saw it break at the shoulder

I have such a stubborn white pine bounced straight back to its original position after de-wiring it

Honestly, I still have an issue with that bottom branch, it seems to break the eyes flow of the trunk upward and looks unnatural, but that's just my subjective opinion.
