Hank: it's not all over, we just need to work together
**So it's all over**

“It’s not all bad news” (it’s just 99% bad news)

I'm a landscape architect and our entire profession has essentially shifted to focus on dealing with stormwater management because that increased precipitation is a real deal.

It all sounds like the beginning of that resident evil game.

That's sorta sPacific.

Warmer water also means more red tide which severely impacts the amount of fish caught in impacted areas :(

"All we have to do is work together." I admire your ability to maintain a sense of humor in the middle of an existential threat.

You have a knack for presentation Hank. I enjoy your enthusiasm for subjects that are usually sleep inducing.

Not mentioned in the report: stopping corporations from making the problem worse. People as a whole aren't as impactful to the environment, yet we keep getting pushed to do the lion's share of the work to fix it.

Luckily it came on time, I was just about to turn off my SETD3 genes .

" We just have to work together now to determine what our future looks like." We have been saying that in developed countries since the 90's. And yes, there has been some change but very little for what is needed in this century. Emissions still go up year on year. and the IPCC reports get more and more ridiculously desperate. I think almost all their emissions scenarios for avoiding 2C all have NET's of crazy undertaking now. Things we could not scale or have room for by 2050. Our addiction for energy and lifestyle (including myself not pointing fingers) just seems to hard to break to make true affirmative action. Our true nature still wins out in 2019.

South Pole ice getting thicker while the North Pole is getting thinner. The planet has and will continue to go through climate cycles, just like other planets in our solar system. Not much we can do to stop it. The sea level rose in the past submerging entire cities, and will do so again in the future. I'd be MUCH more concerned about the ocean being polluted. The ocean is full of trash, heavy metals, radioactive waste, oil, bacteria, and pesticides.

It would be funny if we do that, and it doom us all in the end. Because we just wanted to get rid of a simple cold lol

Yes, i want a movie about this, it could be fun

I had a dream that the ocean was orange soda.

Turns out it was a Fanta sea.

I love that you slip in the boring AF subject with the apocalyptic one. Really helps me stay engaged, viruses are cool too

The changing temperature is also affecting the deep sea streams, which could end up causing catastrophic damage to northern regions.
