They Call Me 'The Tree Man' | BORN DIFFERENT

34-YEAR-OLD Mohammad Abul Bazadar, from Bangladesh, is known as the ‘tree man’, due to suffering an incredibly rare condition which makes his hands and feet look like bark. He has Epidermodysplasia verruciformis, a skin condition which causes wart-like lesions to cover parts of the body. It's an inherited condition that makes the sufferer highly susceptible to infections caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Mohammad told Truly: “I am known as the ‘tree man’. My disease is very rare and it is hardly seen anywhere.” Mohammad has undergone treatment for his disorder, but the warts always grow back. “I tried traditional medicine but it was no use”, he explained. “My hands and feet have turned into roots.”

All of those cutaneous horns coming off him are actually the waste product of the warts. Even if they cut them off, they will grow back because his immune system is compromised. Unless he can clear himself of this virus, they will continue to grow. It's very sad, even sadder- most people in his small village think he is cursed or its witchcraft of some sort ⁶

Let’s just say what we’re all thinking. We need somebody, anybody rich enough to pay for this poor man’s expenses so he can get where he needs to get to have the surgery. I’d love to help but I myself live under the poverty line. But I can help in other ways like finding a sponsor or starting a go fund me, stuff like that. I really hope we can find a way to ease this man’s burden.

This is that same disease that DeDe, the original tree man had. He has since passed away. But it was found that this disease is related to the HPV wart, if memory serves correctly. I hope he can get some type of help for his situation.

From the looks it this guy is from my country.I've gotta say this guy is one of the most well spoken person I've seen.Yes life has dealt him a very tough hand but he seems to fight through it, always seems stay optimistic and find happiness in the littlest things.Ordinary people like us stays depressed over the most minor of things.We sometimes cause harm to ourselves and people around us just because we are not content with ourselves.Where this man might have abnormal growth from his feet and hands but look how content he is with himself and his beautiful family.
