No doubt Amazon has established a strong initial position in a business with a very large growth potential. But, what happened to the first company to lead in the production of electricity, automobiles, telephones, or web servers? Several companies already have very large experience running big data centers for their own business. Providing basic computing services over the web is intrinsically a commodity business. Regardless of the size of the lead that Amazon manages to establish, eventually it is going to face major competition from more companies than make automobiles. Running a web computing service is much less difficult than manufacturing automobiles. The web computing industry will move in a direction of standardized interfaces that allow arbitrary mixing and matching of management of an installation, a selection of computer hardware, linux based operating system, and a variety of interoperable software components from different vendors for managing and analyzing data. There is a large question mark about what Amazon's position will be in this business when it fully matures.

Thank you for the video. It would be better if the camera is not moving around a lot because it can distract the attention of the viewers.

Speaking of Oracle... where was the matrix oracle to let us know he would be The One. Here we are in 2021. Skynet hasn't taken over yet, and we are just at the beginnings of cloud computing adoption. Fascinating!
