While many myths, legends, and some downright falsehoods exist, the real answer to that question deserves a full Acquired episode of its very own. So here it is: the story of Amazon Web Services. Great episode guys! Question: Why is AWS "number 1" in cloud services? BTW, you're not the only ones saying this; I've seen this in many places. What metric is being used? I ask because Amazon reports AWS revenues (TTM Jun 2023) of $85 B M, but Microsoft reports Intelligent Cloud revenues (Jun 2023) of $88 B.

I think AWS missing Kubernetes movement is a big one as Kubernetes is slowly evolving as the de facto standard around which PaaS offering are evolving

Cloud also happened due to timing of the zero interest rate env for a decade and the Cambrian explosion of startups

Excellent. But you folks are missing the ISV angle. Even competitors are partners and customers too.

Unsubscribed. The channel sold itself to advertising dollars. Introducing a high risk and scammer investing company, the real reason for venture capitalist cutting back is higher interest rates (not their false reason)
