Canon RF lenses. Are they the future of glass and lenses? Do you need to replace all your EF lenses right away? Yes and no. With features like the shorter flange distance on the RF lenses, and innovative features like a third control ring, RF are an amazing piece of gear for any creative. Not to mention they're lighter, smaller, and have lightning fast auto focus over EF and the competition. So while you don't need to throw away all your EF lenses right at the moment, the transition has already begun for RF to be the new standard for photographers and filmmakers alike. #canonrf #canonef

Nice. I own both and the rf are better but not enough to duplicate. The adapted EF lenses work great and when paired with the R5 you will get good results.

RF lenses are over priced. Best thing about RF lenses is they are driving down the price of EF glass. 5 years ago everyone was praising EF "L" glass as the best money can buy and now they are not good enough? Comeon! Your clients wont' even know the difference. in the end if you can make more money by upgrading it do it, but for most small companies they will not.

I have the same issue. I have been using the cannon T5 and been using the 18-55 and 75-300 ( the only 2 lenses I own) now I bought the cannon r50 with the kit lens (18-55). I'm going back and forth with the same question. I was thinking of returning the R50 and just purchansing the same camera R50 but with the body only since I already have an EF 18-55 lenas from my T5. and yes, I do have a EF-EOSR adapter. what are your thoughts? I have a decision to make, ugh! by the way, the ending was funny with all your equipment and the face you made, lol

Hello!
I have a canon R5c, during AF a noise is created that remains on the video, is the RF lens silent?

Shorter flange distance means less options for adapters and or speed boosters. Also the RF mount is panted by Cannon. Therefore it could be 18 more years before 3rd parties start making RF lenses and 3rd party cameras adopting it.

17 - Canon RF Mount AF-Lenses till 2.8
21 - Nikon Z Mount AF-Lenses till 2.8
97 - Sony E Mount AF-Lenses till 2.8

Next Time no lenses from Sigma, Tamron & Co.
I bought a Canon R6 and RF 50mm 1.8 and a Adapter to use my Canon EF 70 - 200mm 2.8 (Version 2), but I will sell it, because there are to less lenses and the original lenses are to expensive.
I will switch to Sony, although I like manuel & bodies from Canon more.

@3:26 yes! Lenses now take Firmware Updates, you said, I want to believe you are just saying that just for the video, because I have been updating my Sigma Ef lenses with Sigma Docking connector, my Panasonic Lumix M/4 & Full frame lenses on Camera body.
Something tells me you have more experience than I do in this Industry, Soooo!! Are you just hyping the RF mount? Cause they are too expensive I don't see myself buying it any time soon ...😄😅😅

Holy geez, did this guy put methamphetamines in his cornflakes? I almost had a frickin seizure 90 seconds into the video. How about toning it down a little bit tiger.
