❄️ PS5 - How To Fix Freezing, Crashing and Rest Mode Error

In this video, I'm going to explain why the playstation 5 is crashing or freezing when you are trying to play a game such as Spiderman or godfall... I will also try to bring a potential fix for the rest mode error that bricks the ps5 and shuts it down completely. If restarting, resetting and rebuilding your console database did not fix the issue and the screen remains black and your console refuses to turn on, you will need to arrange a return to get your playstation 5 replaced. Some issues could be addressed with a software update fix while others extreme cases requires to get a new console, as hard and painful as it sounds....

Thanks for the help. I've had no issues thus far, but I'd rather not chance leaving the console in rest mode, which is really just a slight inconvenience, but still, it's annoying. I almost never shut down my PS4 completely, always used rest mode for years.

Ppl getting freak out for some crashes xD i still remember my last year msi gs75 crashing with blue screen all the time and getting hot now i dont even remember when was the last time my laptop got into that sort of situation. Just give it time they will find some patches and firmware updates. Sorry for my english btw.

I was playing cold war and then my screen froze and my ps5 wouldn’t turn back on at all i would have to unplug it just to make it turn on again. Hope this works for me

I disabled every auto rest of everything, and also stoped using the rest mode manually, i am turning it off when i stop playing, until a fix is avaiable.

I literally just got ahold of a PS5 and weather I'm playing a game or in the main menu if I turn my TV off it goes into rest mode automatically.

My glitch/freeze problem is happening for a PS4 game Assassin's Creed Origins. I cut even get past the tutorial as it just freezes. I've tried turning it on and off again, but nothing and its only this game every other game works fine. But AC O freezes.

I've tried every fix and wasn't using rest mode, but my PS5 kept crashing when running PS5 games. GPU on my system was just not stable. I returned it. I'm sure Sony will work this out, but I wasn't paying $500 to beta test this for them.

I had the same issue. The reason why the ps5 is randomly shutting off is because it is overheating. The fix is to clean the fan, the dust collectors and the heat sinks(do not unplug the fan because the wires are very very fragile, just put the fan on top of the PlayStation). Flash a flashlight inside the ps and you will definitely see the dust.
You will need:
A toothbrush
A cloth preferably a microfiber cloth
Toothpick
A long very thin stick

Clean the heat sinks and the fan with the toothbrush.
Clean the dusk collector with the toothpick and the long stick. (After you remove the fan look inside and on the bottom right corner you will see some holes those are the dust collectors. Try to remove the clogged dusk from every hole).
This method worked 100% for me and my ps is working fine without any shutdowns.

Hi I don’t know if you’re gonna see this but, i want to play gta 5 and my game keeps crashing/freezing instantly when im out off the loading screen. I followed all the steps that you have told, but it keeps happening. I have my ps5 for like 1, 5 weeks and whatever i did didn’t work. And i have a problem with COD warzone aswel and that is that there’s lik a black something on my screen and i don’t know what it is but its verryyyy annoying. I’ve tried everything i could find on the internet and nothing works sadly.

I somehow managed to get a day 1 ps5 but faulty, get replaced about 6 months later it became faulty because it crashes every 5 days. Should I call Sony again to get it replaced?

The reason this shit is happening is because Sony had their console ready in 2019 but they launched this year so they could compete with the Xbox buy during that time Sony got lazy and didn’t completely check for bugs in the software

If it doesn’t turn back on. Disconnect the power cored from the back of the PS5 and then connect it again. After that it should turn on. I was playing NBA 2k21 and about 2hrs in it shut off no beep nothing just a black screen. 🙁. This is my third time it’s happened it might an update so keep my fingers crossed Sony comes out with an update soon to fix these wide spread problems. Let me know if any one is experiencing these same issues. 👇
