I moved to Vermont to enjoy the outdoors, become more self sufficient with growing our own food, and work on creating sustainability. What a received was a " punch in the face". Greedy, entitled, inbred people who not only did not welcome me, they shunned and harassed my family and myself. The point? " Sustainability " is just a word to use to sound cool, hip and caring. Every time I read or hear it now, I feel traumatized by a terrible place and terrible people.
