For many people, they miss another aspect of this scene. As we know, covenant ships' shields are down when they fire something and a few second after. In this scene, we see UNSC sacrificing a Marathon class cruiser so the shields are down and put a hole on the covenant assaultcarrier for Chief to be able to go through.

I really love the addition of the Longsword bombers, from not just a visual but storytelling perspective, as it shows that even as a supersoldier you are still only one cog in the massive clock that is the UNSC. It shows that even though humanity is decades arguably centuries behind the Covenant technologically and numerically speaking, the teamwork and discipline shown is what enables humanity to earn their victories, and the fact that two fighters and one man were able to take down an entire cruiser is manifest to this sentiment.

I was skeptical about a Halo 2 Anniversary.. it did NOT disappoint. This cutscene sends chills up my spine, the visuals and sounds are so well enhanced from the original, makes the sheer awesomeness of this scene that much more awesome.
