The game use to have it to where ammo would have a unique affect, Heavy did use to slow more than any round. And Energy use to do the most damage to shields compared to other ammo types. I forget if Light ammo had a special property besides not suffering from bullet drop as much like today.

the gibby shield not being stuck by arc stars is a biproduct of the jump pad and caustic gas stack on his s hield being removed

Been playing since day one and didn't know about Gibbys arm shield negating grenades! Good stuff

also the gibby shield does happen with bullets, it will sometimes just "eat" the rest of the bullets and not apply the damage, i done like 30 to a gunshield before then pop'd a full pk shot into him only for like 18 damage to hit him even tho his gunshield would have like 20 hp left on it
