Love all your tips :)
I played on 106 FOV from the very beginning and just switched to 96.
I can play a lot better that way.
I wasn't able to see enemies right with the high FOV

Great video! I will def be practicing my wall bounces and jump looting to take my skills to the next level. Like u said, I no how to do it it’s just implementing it to my games until it’s muscle memory. Thanks for the tips

4-3 linear was a game changer for me. Wish I would’ve started with it, made movement, recoil and tracking so much easier once I got used to it. I’ve tried switching back to classic and now it feels terrible to me

Edit: wanted to add, going linear gave me stick drift on no dead zone. I converted my 4-3 linear to ALC with some tiny adjustments, primarily adding 3 dead zone and 3 outer limit. There are some great Reddit posts detailing how to convert from regular sensitivity to ALC without changing the feel

Been playing apex for a year, wasn't expecting to learn anything but i ended up learning a few things, thanks

Before i switched to ALC i used 6 5 linear. Now i use pitch and yaw 350 with extra 250 on both and ads is 170 for both with 170 extra. Usually people dont like having extra on their ads but it actually does a lot with aim assist. When youre not aiming at someone its fast then slows down when you aim at someone

for tip #1 i suggest doing a 360 on a door then reload at the 180 mark for a new mag and a quick look at your surroundings. (hope this helped)

I use button puncher but I swap the B button from melee to grenade, it makes the dpad melee but melee is less important imo

First thing I do is switch to shields as soon as I land. I use paddles and ended up putting slide on my left paddle and shields/heals for right paddle. Makes things so much easier.

If you’re coming from cod the best button layout is custom. Since I play tactical I do use melee as circle and crouch r3 but also ping up on the dpad, heal with R1.

Just another tip, instead of using button puncher button layout u could also have your left thumb stick as slide so you can do special types of movement such as super gliding

after messing with heal binds for awhile as a ps4 controller user on steam, i finally arrived on
split touchpad
left tap = syringe
left click = med kit
right tap = cell
right click = batt
ps button = phoenix

as a split keyboard/controller player....its sooo optimal

One thing to get a lot better is having a really good strafe with some crouches in it you dodge bullets while beaming ur enemies. I’ve had countless times where I one clip someone while they only do 70 dmg to me just bc I’m crouch strafing and dodging their bullets

I switched to controller recently after about 10 years on MnK and already I'm playing more consistently on Apex after following this guide about a month back

I think one of the biggest things that improved my movement was switch toggle crouch to hold crouch. Superglides and sliding bunny hops much smoother. Also if you don’t have paddles you are always at a disadvantage. My paddles are mapped to A B X Y and I never have to take my fingers off the sticks. So I can slide, turn, crouch and jump all and jump all at the same time

For someone who doesn't play on controller, I clicked this video really fast 🥲

I have a ps5 dual sense edge, so 2 back buttons and run custom.
Same as button puncher but changed interact to L1 and ability to square ( left paddle, jump is on right paddle ) works well only need to push face buttons for weapon swapping.

I feel that 90 FOV has always been the best for me. Because everything is relatively within sight, but I also don't get the fisheye effect. I hate that. I already have bad enough vision. 🤣

I’ve found Verhulst controller layout to really work for me. Don’t really have to take my thumb off the stick when I’m fights at all.

I love all of these tips but I had a little bit of a problem with button puncher because long term it can cause bad stick drift because of the overuse of the stick but other than that it is a very good option.

I love bumper jumper, it frees up quite a bit of your controller and then getting used to claw might be beneficial to help with the interacts in fight
