As true as this would be today, there were games with more capacity back in the day. The largest capacity ever recorded was at Maracaná Stadium in 1950 at the World Cup match between Brasil and Uruguay which registered 173.850 people officially, but local sources said that a more accurate number was around 205.000 people

Sadly they didn’t count Strahov from Czech Republic, it’s capacity is 250 000 with 50k+- to sit. It’s having 6 football pitches and is used for trainings, and B team matches.
