(End of video) What was wrong??? You had your controller plugged into a mic channel, that's what!

Why does everyone on Youtube insist on running XLR to XLR from controllers to external mixers??? You know it's OK to have different connectors on either end of the cable? Run 2 XLR to TRS cables from your controller to one of the stereo line channels on the MG10XU (5/6, 7/8, or 9/10). You won't need to pan, because it already is sending left to the left & right to the right on your outputs & more importantly, you won't risk inadvertently sending 48v of phantom power backwards into your controller. It's a wonder you didn't fry the damned thing!
