My grandmother was born in 1899 and grew up in New York city. She used a few Yiddish words or expressions and one day I asked my her if we were part Jewish. I will admit I was a little disappointed when the answer was no. My grandmother grew up with a lot of neighbors and friends who spoke Yiddish, and just picked it up. We shared A Seder meal with another homeschool family years ago that opened my eyes to seeing the Messiah in the Jewish feast days. I wish I had known about these books then! Thanks for sharing.

We studied the Maccabbees when I was in college and that was helpful for understanding the story and this holiday! Thanks so much for sharing your resources. That "Counting Book" with Hebrew and Yiddish is very neat!

new here, fantastic channel.
I am a gentile believer in Messiah Yeshua and I do not do christmas, easter etc. 
Simply because the Lord called me out of things that are not in His Word. (not legalism, not practicing judaism either, just loving all things JESUS YESHUA, AMEN!).
And as a believer, I need to follow Messiah. Not what the world tells me to.

Nothing in His Word changes, because He doesn't change/vary! 
He's the same yesterday, today and FOREVER! Amen!

I fully support Israel and ALL her beautiful people! 
Which includes celebrating along side my Jewish family in God's Holy Feasts and Appointed Times, instructed to the Jewish people first, and then myself (gentiles who are grafted in).

Seems the world wants to remove the Jewish people from their land (thats not gonna happen either), but I must say, I have no time for replacement theology, and the fact that religious organizations of old, even tried to remove your people from the Word of God as well with different "holidays". Regardless, I don't dislike anyone who is doing them, I just dont and haven't for over a decade and a wee bit.

Isaiah 40:8
"The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the Word of our God endures forever.”

Jesus is the Living Word, it just makes sense not to take Him in vain.
