Of course Hollywood has to make things look more exciting but I think they did a wonderful job overall. I really really wish they would of added
Ward vs Gatti. 1

The lined up body shots and commentary from the Alfonso Sanchez fight was very cool, nicely done.

Wow... pretty damn accurate showcase. BUT, I GOTTA SAY; in regards to the action. Seems like REAL LIFE IS MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THE ROMANTICIZED MOVIE.

I just hate that they added the Lampley commentary from the 1st Gatti fight over regular fight scenes.

4:55 The Ward kidney shot actually looked even more vicious than the Wahlberg kidney shot.
I boxed from age 8 - 18. When you receive a legit kidney shot it's a weird sensation in a way. Maybe closer to being tazed than KO'd is a good way of describing the frustration and agony.
And your legs simply refuse to function proper.

Lots of comments about how they should've put the Gatti/Ward trilogy in the movie, I'm glad they didn't but, they did add some of the commentaries from the first match. That whole "Imagine if you bought a ticket" was from the 9th round of that first fight and they did make an HBO doc (Ledgandaty Nights) that was centered on Gatti's induction to the HOF. It's pretty emotional, it covers both fighters careers as they led up to the three matches, everything they went through after, Gattis death, it's a great film, if you haven't seen it yet it's a must watch!! Wahlberg narrated it and it's really one of the best documentaries I've ever watched. It's so far and beyond anything Hollywood could or would have done and I am so happy the did it that way because there's no way a Hollywood movie could live up to what those 2 warriors left in the real-life ring. Hollywood just doesn't have that kind of credibility.
