Inside The Exclusive Club For The World's Wealthiest People

From the fabulously rich to the fabulously famous, this remote patch of Montana wilderness has fewer than 900 homeowners, who are worth more than a combined $290 billion.

There are 885 members of the ultraswank Yellowstone Club: 15,000 mountainous acres of world-class skiing, golfing, fly fishing and horseback riding. There is a movie theater for kids, a concert venue that has hosted acts including Sting, Norah Jones and James Taylor, and even “sugar shacks” stocked with all sorts of free stuff like candy bars, snacks and hot soups sprinkled across the mountain and greens. The club’s mountain has 21 chairlifts, one gondola, 2,900 skiable acres—and no lift lines.

Perhaps the club’s biggest draw is exclusivity. Applicants need gold-plated references and must submit to a detailed background check. Membership is capped at 914 to prevent overcrowding. Admission requires buying land, a home or a condo.

My friend's brother worked there and had some funny stories. Said they got a call of a guy snow shoeing up the middle of a ski run, when they checked it out it was Zuckerberg who promptly pulled the "Do you know who I am?" bit. Shocker.

Another time he got a call to fix something in one of the houses. It was Matt Damon's. He said he was the only member that talked to them directly and looked them in the eye, gave him a beer, and said he was all around a super chill dude.

Ultra high net-worth people are weird.

Being dyslexic, I read the title as exclusive club for the weirdest people in the world. I guess I wasn’t too wrong.😂😂😂

I love that they refered to tom brady as "ex husband of super model gisele bundchen"

One of the locals at big sky resort pointed this place out to me back in 2004, so it’s definitely a thing.

And all the workers live an hour away because they can't afford to live near their jobs.

Keep doing these, we need to know where to ‘peacefully protest’ when no one can afford a home anymore.

I’m sure there is a list there we don’t want to know about.

It’s getting more expensive to avoid the consequences of the CRA 😮.
They really need a thousand Haitians sent there instead Ohio or Florida.
