He is one of the best. This man has to take on the toughest assignment every night. There’s not a single great defensive player in the history of the NBA that hasn’t been cooked. They have to guard some of the best players and rely on “help defense” that often fails them. People bring up Giannis 50 point game against PHX in the finals, but if it weren’t for Jrue Holiday making clutch stops on CP3 and Devin Booker in back to back games PHX likely would have won the series. That’s how impactful his defense was.

It doesn’t matter how good you are as a perimeter defender, when a guy like Jimmy, who is bigger and stronger than you, is hot, it takes a team to defend him. Milwaukee didn’t offer the proper help, and Jimmy got what he wanted. I think that it’s more Coach Bud’s fault. No one could guard Jimmy one-on-one, but they never tried switching it up, and Jimmy just did what he did.
