Born on December 11, 1931 in Puerto Rico, Rita Moreno moved to New York when she was 6 and started working in clubs as a dancer from 9 years old and got into films from 11.
She trained her acting with Jeff Corey.

Her filmography includes "West Side Story" (1962 and 2021), "The King and I", "Carnal Knowledge" as well as TV series like "OZ", "One Day at a Time", "The Electric Company", etc...
Winning an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, Rita Moreno achieved the Triple Crown of Acting. And as she also won a Grammy Award, she is one of the rare "EGOT" -s.
