"God Eater Burst" is an anime series based on the game of the same name. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is threatened by mysterious creatures called Aragami. To combat these formidable enemies, humans have formed a special force known as the God Eaters, equipped with unique weapons called God Arcs to engage in battle against the Aragami.

Aragami have to be the peak of monster concepts. Like these things are actually immortal. No joke.
Unlike regular animals. These things dont have a singular consciousness. Theyre biology is similar to that of a jellyfish. Dozens of individual microorganisms clustered together to form one body and they move and act as one. What we see as a "heart" or a "fang" is still a cluster of these cells. And holding it all together is a singular calcified mass called a core. You could chop their heads off, yank out their organs. But as long as that core is fully intact they can heal. But even if you kill it. Theyll simply respawn just like in the game.

And these aragami come in all shapes and sizes. Some can even assimilate machinery into their bodies like guns, rocket launchers, just like at the Quadrigas. They literally fire missiles out of their abdomen.

And these things can get massive. And i mean to the point where they can be classified as Kaiju. Oroboros, Amaterasu, that massive four legged thing in God Eaters 3

Funny enough Dyaus Pita(the black manticore) is the tip of a very big iceberg. The blades on its wings are actually new. Got added in the remastered game for console.

But yeah. Dyaus pita is nothing compared to the susanoo. The oroboros, Garm. Amaterasu. the fucking God Arc Soldier Variants.

All it takes is one single cell. You put even a single aragami in any anime verse. And its gone. Bc all the cells will do is grow and multiply adapting. Consuming. And growing. Theres literally no way to kill these things.

Lindow was sent to a solo mission to fight the giant aragami known as the Ouroboros then he god severly injured and he turned into the Hannibal a serpent humanoid type aragami basically the season 2 is the game itself you guys should give it a try there are lots of sick looking aragamis in the game you can even fight Deus Pita itself in the long run

God Eater deserved better than this. I was happy it got an anime and there are moments where the anime shows what could have been, but its far too messy. I dont know why they didnt just do the game's plot and build on that with the darker tone in the show. It could have been great.

Sadly, this show had so many production issues it never stood a chance and is now mostly known as the weird black sheep of ufotable. The decision to go with cg aragami and this... unique multi shaded art style instead of just using the style from the game animations like what most game anime do is legitimately bizarre and hurt the show. At least the anime did a better job with my best girl Alisa
