If you pick up your chao egg, and rock it back and forth (i think it's "x" button) then set it back down, it will hatch. Also you can make your chao evil without using the evil characters by throwing it against the wall but I never had the heart to do it. I might make a fan game about chaos

Chad! A few things!
1. If you hold the B button after picking up a chao egg, you can move the analog stick to rock it. After rocking for a short period of time, you can put the egg down and it will hatch!
2. There better be a sick edit of your Chao doing the Harlem Shake.

Chad, if you want to go between petting your Chao or picking it up, press Y or the equivalent on your controller when close to it. I think later you can change it to whistle to call your chaos when you're far away but it's been awhile.

I love chao garden. The chao's are really cute (I purposely punctuated chao wrong so it wouldn't look like I said chaos) and there are so many cool breeds of chao. They deserve their own spinoff game

Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Pinball Party had Chao gardens and they could interact wit DX and Battle with link cables. I never did that, but i think you could transfer Chao and their progress between games.

I spent so much time with my choas! This game was way fun and wonderful (except for the voice overs of course lol) but by far I loved the choas the most!
