Vanlife Camping in German Washington Town (I GOT STUCK)

In today's vanlife adventures I explore Washington's German town aka Leavenworth! After that I adventure a bit east and get stuck in the snow! But that's ok, because that gave me a good opportunity to do some cozy winter camping!

I lived in Cashmere, WA, as a kid 1974-1977. My cousins lived in Leavenworth, and I'd stay with them, kickin' around town and the surrounding forests. We'd get 4' of snow in winter and find places to sled down small hills in town. Truly a magical place. Thanks for the update on a treasured experience 😊

Trent, I’m an electrician who lives in self converted van
I go to different job sites and work, but I actually live out of my van

I watch the heating guys in their van get stuck on a job site the other day

They took large zip ties and ran the zip ties through the holes in there wheel and wrapped around the tire

Kind of made their own snow chains

4 to 6 zip ties on both tires
And it worked and got them out 😎👍

The wheels on your van have holes in them very similar to theirs. They had the same type of van.

🤔 just a thought it’s an easy solution if you’re not stuck too bad, especially on a slippery surface like mud or snow and ice

Leavenworth is actually an amazing spot for outdoor activities, which I wish they’d focus on more. Incredible rock climbing, rafting, hiking, etc. Welcome to our state! Been a fan for a while. Also, München Haus is the move for brats and beer.
